Rector, family life, pastoral care
Gaz is married to Susie and they have four children: Phoebe, Zach, Barney, and Boaz, plus a large dog called Tosca. Gaz became a Christian in 1980 through the Crusaders and has worked as an actor and then in the charity sector, most recently as a director of a hospital in London. He began training for ministry at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford in 2007, after which he served as Curate then Associate Vicar at St James Church in Muswell Hill.
Gaz and Susie were first attracted to Broadwater parish, because of the opportunities here – both in the potential for the parish and links with the local Christian schools. They felt God leading them here, after a combined total of 64 years living in London. Both of them are passionate about family life, regularly supporting couples through the marriage preparation course, the marriage course and parenting courses. Evangelism and meeting the needs of the unchurched is a priority in their ministry.
Another passion for Gaz is classic cars!
Associate Vicar, Alpha, discipleship
Steve is married to Imogen and they live in Broadwater with their baby son and two dogs, Athy (named after the theologian Athanasius) and Poppy. Steve became a Christian in 2005 at Holy Trinity Brompton in London, where he then worked for two years before training for ordained ministry at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. He was ordained at St Paul's Cathedral by the Bishop of London in 2012.
Steve has a passion for theological study, leading him to a desire for excellent evangelism and discipleship provisions in the church. Steve is also passionate about music and sees its place at the heart of the church's life. Steve says: "When I came to Worthing I did not know what God had in store. I can now see that stretched out before us is an exciting adventure full of opportunity. My heart is to see people come to know Jesus for the first time and to grow to maturity in faith."
Steve loves running!
